THE PLOT:

The girls at the sorority house who must stay behind for Christmas has a little Christmas party of their own, but the legendary figure named Billy Lenz is about to break out, plus there is yet another unknown killer inside the house stalking the girls and offering death for Christmas wrapped in a blood red bow.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

Now you all know how I feel about the original crap fest, if you haven't then read up on it. You know I am no fan of the original. In fact in my humble opinion it stinks on ice. But this movie corrects the mistakes of the past. It explains who the killer is and shows his face, they find the poor girl in the attic without giving up too much on how. These are all improvements. But for as many things this version did right, there is even more they did wrong. Mainly the bi***y characters, when a character is killed horribly you're reaction isn't suppose to be "good riddance". 4 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

Okay, I got to agree with Zedd on this. The improvements does help, but the idiotic annoying whining characters was enough to make me want to climb into the movie and kill them myself, save Billy and Agnes the trouble. The normally gifted actress Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn from Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Gloria from Rich Rich's Christmas Wish) is the worst of all character wise. I liked the killers have a face and a back story, but there just isn't enough for this reviewer to recommend it. THE LUMP OF COAL.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ IMPROVEMENTS (We both got to admit it was an improvement then the original. But it would have been hard to do worse.)
+ EFFECTS (The effects are well done.)
+ KILLERS (It's nice the killers have a face and a back story.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (MISSES):

- CHARACTERS (The characters were so badly written and annoying it was hard to care if they lived or died.)
- DEATH SCENES (Some of the murders were so over the top it was almost laughable.)

- FAN BASED (If you didn't like the original movie, there is a good chance you won't like this one either.)
